Take some time off from your hectic day while learning more about mental health with this special free event from the National Centre for Mental Health.

HeadSpace is for anyone who wants to know more about mental health – maybe you’re a Christmas shopper in need of a break, a student looking to wind down after a long term or a city worker grabbing a quick lunch break – everyone is welcome!

This child and adult friendly event features a prize draw where you can win an iPad mini, talks, performances, art exhibitions, and information stalls from some of Wales’ leading mental health organisations.

You’ll also have the chance to get involved in mental health research and help change lives for the better.

Join us on Thursday 12th December at the corner unit of the Capitol Shopping Centre opposite the Sainsbury’s store in Queen Street.

HeadSpace will feature talks from:

Our team will also be on hand between 10am – 2pm from 9th – 11th December at the venue to answer your questions about mental health research, and how you can help.

A note on access and facilities

As a ‘pop-up’ event, HeadSpace is being held at an improvised temporary venue not specifically designed for this purpose. As a result, access may be difficult for people with limited mobility, as the main event space is only accessible via a staircase. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

If you are unable to access the main event space but would like to be involved in our HeadSpace activities, please speak to one of our team on reception to discuss how we can best accommodate your needs. We will do everything we can to allow all users to benefit from this event. Alternatively, contact us in advance on 029 2068 8401 or at info@ncmh.info to discuss how we can help on the day.

Unfortunately, we are also unable to provide toilet facilities for the event, but the Capitol Shopping Centre’s public toilets are just upstairs from the venue in the main centre.
